  Bought a brass headboard from the bed shop at parkgate, Rotherham. Had it delivered to my home address, which took 3 weeks, even though I was told it would be delivered between 7 and 10 days. When the headboard arrived it was damaged. Two of the spindals were broken. Called the bed shop to say that it was broken on arrival ,was told thats needed to put it in writing, which I did. Did not hear anything for a week. Phoned them back and asked to speak to the manager, member of staff Said he was on holiday, ask if they were going to collect it and they said yes , I also asked when I would get a refund, they said only the manager can authorize refunds and he will be back in a weeks time. Van turned up early one morning to come and collect it, without any notification that they were coming. I then decided to call in at the bed shop to complain that they did not notify me of collection and rearrange a collection of the headboard and to get my money back. Eventually they did come and collect it but no sign of a refund. Went back to the shop and asked about my refund. The manager said that he had put a cheque in the post the morning. I Allowed 3 to 4 days for the cheque to arrive but it did not. So I phoned the manager to complain again the the cheque had not arrive. Said to the manager that if I did not receive the cheque I will be taking this to the small claims court and trading standards. Finally received the cheque approximately a day after I had spoken to the manager. Noticed that the cheque had being dated 12th January but the post Mark was the 18th so it appeared the cheque had being held back. I had appalling service from the bed shop, really felt like I was consistently fobbed off. I would NOT recommend this shop at all. Avoid at all costs!!!! .
